Along with the private
pools in the resorts and holiday homes, Sunshine Coast Regional
Council has some safe and fun places for the kids to get wet.
Noosa Aquatic
Centre is situated on the Sunshine Beach side of Noosa and has a
five pools to get wet in, without having to worry about the sun and
ocean creatures!
The toddlers pool is
ideal for those wanting to splash about and parents can soak away
their aches in the bubble pool. Keep your fitness regime up to date
in their 50m pool, or just enjoy a coffee while the kids have a
paddle. Their swim shop has most items you may need and the centre
has easy access for those with disabilities.
Holidays see the blow
up toys come out - a gigantic red rocket to climb along, tyre tubes
and mats add to the fun. These special items make an appearance
generally from 11am to 3pm daily in the school holidays.
Another option for
families who are staying in the area for a week or more is the
Intensive Learn to Swim Program which run for one week. This is
ideal for children who are not as confident in the water and you
would like them to be able to refine their skills and confidence.
Just call the Noosa
Aquatic Centre for more details.
